1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing the MagicShot AI Chrome extension or accessing the magicshot.us website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and magicshot.us ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").

2. Description of Service

MagicShot AI is a Chrome extension and web service that allows users to:

  • Capture screenshots of web pages
  • Automatically generate step-by-step documentation, SOPs, and guides using AI
  • Export generated documents to PDF or DOCX format
  • Manage and access documents via a web dashboard

The Service operates on a freemium model. Screenshot capture is free. Document export requires credits. Credits are obtained through a monthly subscription or one-time purchase.

3. User Accounts

You may sign in using Google OAuth or an email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Not share your account credentials with any third party

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Credits & Payments

MagicShot AI uses a credit system for document exports. Credits are consumed as follows:

  • 1 credit per export (PDF or DOCX)
  • Screenshot capture: free, no credits required

Monthly Subscription — $2.99/month: Includes 50 credits per month. Unused credits carry over to the following month. Subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled.

Credit Pack — $2.49 one-time: 100 credits that never expire. No recurring charges.

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.

5. Refund Policy

All purchases are generally final. However, we will review refund requests on a case-by-case basis. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using credits you purchased, please contact us within 14 days at support@magicshot.us.

Monthly subscriptions may be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused subscription time.

Credit packs (one-time purchases) are non-refundable once credits have been used.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Capture or document content that you do not have permission to access
  • Generate documentation that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack the Service
  • Use automated bots or scripts to abuse the credit system
  • Resell or redistribute access to the Service without written permission
  • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that we determine, in our sole discretion, are abusing the Service.

7. Intellectual Property

The MagicShot AI extension, website, logo, and all related software are the intellectual property of magicshot.us. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal or business documentation purposes.

Documents and exports generated using the Service are yours. We claim no ownership over your generated content.

8. Your Data

Your screenshots are processed through OpenAI's API to generate documentation. Screenshots are not stored permanently on our servers — they are processed and discarded. Generated documentation text is stored to power your dashboard history.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.

AI-generated documentation may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing all generated content before using it in a professional context.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MAGICSHOT.US SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

You may stop using the Service at any time. To cancel a subscription, visit your dashboard or contact us at support@magicshot.us.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
